Where’d the originality go?

I don’t know about you, but it seems like a lot of movies are coming out lately that seem exactly alike.  Of course, I mean that from the perspective of the trailers.  For a huge movie lover like me, who does not dissect them and purely loves them for the entertainment value they bring me, for me to say this is a lot.  But I noticed that the trailers for the new Mummy movie and the Journey to the Center of the Earth look basically the same. Last year was a great year for Indie movies but so far this year, it’s been a dry well. I hope that changes soon because there have been few movies to inspire me to pay the bucks to go out, especially when my friends and I can get together over a Netflix and some pizza!
